Glenda started her career in Sydney’s publishing industry at Angus & Robertson Publishers (now HarperCollins), as assistant
editor and then as editor, before establishing her freelance business. She returned
to working in-house as editor for New Holland, then as senior editor and managing
editor for Simon & Schuster Australia. More recently she was the senior editor
for the small indie publisher GHR Press, where she managed the editorial and production processes. As a freelance editor Glenda’s clients include the publishers HarperCollins, Pan Macmillan, Penguin Random House, Allen & Unwin, University of Queensland Press, ABC Books, Pantera Press, and writers.
Glenda provides mentoring services for writers, with manuscript assessment and structural editing, to develop their manuscripts for submission
to agents and publishers or to move forward to self-publishing. She also offers copy-editing and polishes manuscripts for writers
who are intending to self-publish.
Glenda edits young adult and adult fiction, across a broad range of genres, and non-fiction titles – memoir, parenting, lifestyle, Australian history and cooking. She offers project management and proofreading services to publishers and self-publishers.
